AI Conference 2025 Level Up! revealed how intelligent agents are transforming businesses, automating workflows, and creating a competitive edge.
On March 11, 2025, leading experts and innovators gathered at the Palmenhausgarten in Frankfurt am Main for the AI Conference 2025 Level Up!, organized by WTS. The event provided profound insights into the rapid development of artificial intelligence and its impact on businesses and society.
Dr. Léa Steinacker opened the conference with a groundbreaking keynote. She quoted Marc Benioff, CEO of Salesforce, who prophesied at the World Economic Forum 2025: "This will be the last generation of CEOs who only manage human employees. From now on, we will manage not just human, but also digital workforce."
Steinacker emphasized the urgency of understanding and correctly implementing AI: "We must know when to trust this technology - urgently. (...) It is not just a small tool for writing emails – it is something much larger."
Sascha Lobo pinpointed the central question occupying all participants: How and where does value creation take place with the help of Artificial Intelligence? This question permeated all presentations and discussions, continually illuminated through practical examples.
The experts unanimously agreed: AI offers enormous opportunities but also risks. One speaker warned against blind trust: "If I input poor data, I must also maintain a certain skepticism about what comes out." Uwe Sydon from Vertex presented successful practical examples of how AI is combined with human expertise in product categorizations, leading to "significant advantages".
He impressively demonstrated AI's added value through the "Human in the Loop" concept. Their approach utilizes Large Language Models (LLM) with integrated expert review. For categorizations with a confidence level below 75% e.g., a subject matter expert is consulted – a model that directly trains AI from a human perspective.
The talk by our founder and CEO Dr. Uli Erxleben was particularly outstanding - a presentation about AI agents in tax and finance. He demonstrated how these "AI employees" can completely take over complex business processes.
Erxleben explained: "Our vision is that these AI agents, which utilize Large Language Models, are capable of completely handling typical business processes when combined with private business information."
Using an indirect tax agent as an example, Erxleben showed how AI efficiently handles incoming invoices. This agent navigates multi-stage processes:
The agent accesses various tools like SAP systems, external databases, and company-curated content to deliver precise results. "These are AI employees that do not just provide assistance, but can process entire workflows," Erxleben emphasized.
The AI Conference 2025 Level Up! made it clear: AI is no longer just a future vision, but already a reality in many companies. The key to success lies in intelligent collaboration between humans and machines. As Dr. Léa Steinacker aptly summarized: "Not when we completely delegate work to AI, but when we work together (...), that's when value is created. That's when we can level up."
The presented practical examples demonstrate the enormous potential of AI agents for optimizing business processes. Companies that deploy this technology early and strategically can gain a decisive competitive advantage.
